Describe the bug
I am in multiple large Discord servers that I only tend to visit occasionally for support or updates. On my Discord account I have these servers fully muted, and on a regular android phone with google services I will not get notifications from these servers. However, with DiscordRP I am getting all the notifications from every server I'm in, meaning the messages from the smaller servers I actually don't have muted get drowned in notification spam.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Install DiscordRP
- Select either only @ mentions or all notifications
- Recieve @ mentions or messages on any fully muted server
- Notifications are recieved from muted servers
Expected behavior
Muted servers should not send notifications
Screenshots
I can provide screenshots of specific things if this turns out to be a bug specific to my setup, and not reproducible on your end, but as this is to my knowledge fairly easy to reproduce I don't really see a point
Please complete the following information:
- Device: Fairphone gen 6
- OS: LineageOS Nightly
- App: 1.4.2 (as reported by app)
Additional context
I understand this makes use of undocumented and unsupported features of the discord API, making it hard to implement certain features. I wouldnt be surprised if this issue has already been on your radar and you just chose not to tackle it for reason of there maybe not being a known way of pulling a server's mute status. If this is the case, I would suggest a feature where notifications can be whitelisted or blacklisted by server name, channel name, or message content on the client side, possibly also opening the door for more advanced features such as being able to be notified whenever somebody says your name, for instance, even without the use of @ mentions. I immagine regex support wouldnt be too big of a leap from there either, but I don't know enough about android development or the Discord API to say with certainty...
Side note, thank you so much for making this! Ive been looking for something like this for ages now mainly for notifications, and having rich presence work on mobile is a really nice touch as well! All my friends are on Discord so having them be able to contact me quickly is super nice!
