• Your purpose in using this API:
  I'm building a mobile Islamic app as a personal/student project that includes prayer times, Quran reading, and hadith reading, with the goal of eventually publishing it. For the hadith section, I'd like to include Sahih al-Bukhari in both Arabic and English and allow users to browse and read hadith fully offline. Ideally, I would use the API or an offline data dump during development to create a local database bundled with the app rather than making repeated live API calls. I would also appreciate clarification on any attribution or redistribution requirements if the hadith data is included in a publicly released version of the app.

• API rate limits:

  • Maximum requests per second: 1
  • Maximum requests per day: Low -- I'd only need to pull the full Bukhari collection once during development to build a local offline database, not repeated live calls per user.

• Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
  An offline dump would be ideal, since the app is meant to work without an internet connection. If a dump isn't available, API access to do a one-time import myself would also work.

• What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?
  English and Arabic.

• What programming language will your API client be in?
  Dart (Flutter).
