Run the stop checkpoint for startup errors.
run_harness can fail before it sends startup_ready. tokio_main returns that error before it calls checkpoint::save, so an enabled checkpoint is skipped. The activity stream also receives no harness_stopped record.
Preserve the startup error as the primary error, and use a distinct reason for startup failure.

Add an opt-in JSONL activity log that records bounded, redacted tool and lifecycle activity from the observer feed on stderr, so prompts, agent text, and secrets never enter the platform stream. The binary now parses CLI arguments before installing logging because the log format depends on the flag. Add an opt-in stop checkpoint that runs buzz-agent-checkpoint save after sessions drain, including when shutdown cancels startup. It validates the receipt and makes shutdown fail when the checkpoint fails. Signed-off-by: Tee8z <tee8z@protonmail.com>

Emit structured activity records and save a checkpoint when the bound ACP harness stops. Checkpoint helper failures have typed, sanitized error details. Timeout and cancellation terminate the helper process group; the shutdown receipt is written only after a successful save.
Validation: ACP activity, failure, timeout, cancellation, and receipt regressions passed in the integrated suite.
This layer exceeds 1,000 changed lines because the activity contract, shutdown integration, and failure-path tests form one observable lifecycle boundary. Separating the helper cleanup tests from that implementation would leave the shutdown contract unverified in this layer.
Stack: layer 7 of 23. Base: #10. Next: #12. One signed commit per layer.
Final integrated checks passed: ACP/provider/reaper tests and Clippy; 3,451 native desktop tests (19 ignored); native Clippy; desktop TypeScript and lint; root security; and file-size checks. The frontend run passed 7,008 tests before the final type-only extraction and test formatting. Repository-wide
just ciand GitHub CI are still running. No human runtime acceptance is claimed.Summary by CodeRabbit
