Audit checklist

  • I opened or linked a corresponding issue first
  • The folder is named after the domain, not the dataset
  • unfair.py includes protected attributes and prints the required output format
  • fair.py removes protected attributes and identified proxy variables
  • Both scripts use random_state=42 and an 80/20 train/test split
  • Proxy variables were actually tested, not just guessed
  • unfair.png and fair.png are included as PNG screenshots
  • The dataset is public and accessible without login or payment
  • The dataset file is included, or DATA.md is included if the file is too large
  • README.md includes the new results row and audit section
  • A notebook was added if the audit benefits from one

Hey @saikeerthanakavuri, your first PR on Fair Code, that's awesome, thank you.

This project is about making AI more accountable, and contributions like yours are what keep that work going. We'll review your changes shortly.

If you haven't already, give the contributing guide a quick read: it covers how audits are structured and what we look for in a review.

And if you're finding Fair Code useful or interesting, a star on the repo genuinely helps more people find it - no pressure, just appreciated.

Sai Keerthana Kavuri's PR #710 (fixing the profiler-ui.js CI-filter
gap, closing #702) was a real merged, first-time contribution with
zero mentions in the file. @AnayDhawan's PR #711 (README demo GIF)
was his 5th merged PR, but the file still said "4 merged PRs · 4
commits" (closes #728).

… contributor count, update changelog

Cross-checked GitHub's live API against every stats table in the repo:
Stars 46 -> 48, Forks 33 -> 45 (README.md, METRICS.md, ROADMAP.md).

Contributor count was wrong at "29" - not from this week's churn, but
because the incrementally-tracked figure had already fallen behind
CONTRIBUTORS.md's own full list. A direct recount (3 core + 37 in the
Contributors section) puts it at 40. Two real gaps caused the drift:
SatvikMishra08 (#693, syncing CITATION.cff's date-released with the
v2.2.0 tag) was a real merged-PR contributor missing from the file
entirely, and saikeerthanakavuri's first merged PR (#710) was never
added either despite closing #702 earlier this same version. Corrected
to 40 everywhere (README.md, METRICS.md badge/table/resume-line,
ROADMAP.md's "goal exceeded" line) and added both missing entries plus
their area-attribution rows.

Also fixed ROADMAP.md's self-contradictory Phase 1 status ("61
explainers published, expanding toward a 60+ library" - 61 already
exceeds 60), its stale "Phase 6 - Paper In Review" badge (contradicts
the Phase 6 section's own "Paused, Retargeted" text and CLAUDE.md),
and updated the "10-15 labelled issues open" line with the current
count (19).

METRICS.md gets a new 2026-W39 entry covering this session's two
issue-audit sweeps (25 closed), the contributor correction, and the
stats refresh - including a same-day reopen-then-close of 9
audit-domain proposals once the maintainer decided not to track new
audits as repo-requested work right now, replaced with 9 feature
issues grounded in real CLI/web-profiler gaps instead.

CHANGELOG.md's [2.3.0] entry gets a new paragraph plus 7 "Fixed"
bullets summarizing the standout fixes from both sweeps - same
version, not a new release, per the section's own existing scope.
