Open more CSS WPT reftests in the rig: monospace font, named colors, display values and elements - #7

The engine parses only hex, rgb() and transparent colors, so the rig rewrites named colors in color-bearing properties. border-image and border-image-source carry gradient color stops as well. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Upstream WPT pins no monospace font, so documents asking for the generic monospace family fell back to Gentium and broke lines that tests size in ch. Such documents now also load DejaVu Sans Mono 2.35, unmodified with its Bitstream Vera license, from the rig's own test/wpt/fonts directory. The file is pinned by SHA-256 like the upstream fixtures. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
…T rig The adapter skipped every document with a display value other than block, flex, grid or none. It now also passes flow-root, list-item, inline-flex and inline-grid to the engine, which opens 17 reftests. Whatever the engine does not implement for these values shows up as a failure instead of being hidden as a skip. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The adapter now passes inline and inline-block to the engine as well, which opens 77 more reftests. The adapter test keeps checking that an unsupported display value is skipped, now with display: table. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The adapter now passes strong, aside and article, and the elements HTML does not define that WPT uses as containers (flexbox, grid, container, item). The bridge registers the matching UA rules: bold for strong, and display: inline for the unknown elements, as HTMLUnknownElement is inline unless styled. This opens 63 more reftests. Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to With the normal locked WPT build, tests using newly accepted display values can render incorrectly because the renderer does not model those modes. Keep them unsupported until the engine can represent them so the expanded test results remain reliable. Security Architecture ReviewSecurity architecture risk: 🔵 Low · up to The changed behavior is confined to the WPT test rig. The newly accepted content remains subject to the adapter’s restrictions, and the runner checks the bundled font’s hash before rendering. No introduced security concern was established, although use of the exported adapter outside the repository is unknown. Retained concerns Security review detailsSecurity Blast Radius

The engine now rasterizes the horizontal ellipsis in runtime fonts, so the adapter accepts it alongside ASCII and the degree sign. This opens 95 line-clamp reftests whose references spell the block ellipsis out. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

The locked engine maps
flow-root,list-item,inline, andinline-blocktokDisplayBlock. It mapsinline-flexandinline-gridto block-level flex and grid states. The normal WPT manifest includesfloats-placement-005.html, which usesdisplay: flow-rootfor float placement. The adapter accepts this test, so the run can report an incorrect rendering instead of skipping it.Suggested fix

<b>is deliberately not transported. With its UA bold rule, one glyph's coverage changed (400 px) invlr-ltr-rtl-in-multicolsandvrl-ltr-rtl-in-multicols, which do not use<b>; layout was identical. I did not find the cause. Each test runs in its own WASM instance, so it is not state carried over from an earlier test.main, most of the newly transported tests fail.
