Artifacts local-development stack — 3 of 3
Review-only fork PR. Do not merge this PR into the fork. Review in order: 1/3 — native Git client (upstream #16176) → 2/3 — opt-in simulator (fork #1) → 3/3 — development tools and local default (this PR). This PR is based on 2/3 and shows only the final layer. After the lower layers land upstream, this layer will be opened as a new upstream PR. #16092 remains an unchanged full-stack reference, not another PR to merge.
What changes
remoteto local resources across development tools;remote: falsestays local andremote: trueexplicitly selects deployed resources. This is the final default-behavior change, not part of the opt-in simulator PR. Migration guidance and the default switch require owner approval before merging upstream.Native Git 2.32 or newer on
PATHis required only for local mode. Explicit HTTPS imports contact the requested host, including private-network destinations, without following HTTP redirects. No deployed-service parity is claimed.Validation
